About the project: Lawrence Coates is a published novelist and fiction writer whose work prominently features place, with his most recent novel focusing specifically on an area in the California hills. I created new web branding collateral and a new web design to reflect the themes of his latest novel he was going on tour to promote, and to provide an overall professional feel with pages for each book he’s published, as well as discussion guides, event information, a news section, and a blog. The writer wanted an elegiac and elegant feel, with a strong first impression, which we created through a full-window landing section with hidden navigation until scroll.
