About the project: Molly Patterson is a published fiction writer whose first novel Rebellion was released in August 2017. In order to publicize the book’s release, she wanted to create a website to feature her novel, upcoming events, and other published works. Inspired by abstracted natural forms and borrowing from the traditions of book cover designs making thoughtful use of negative space, the design for Molly’s website is both constrained and immersive. Pairing small, handmade details with classic type, the overall feel is accessible and authentic while still professional.
